Despite all the business growth in Pasco over the past decade, we occasionally hear "third-hand" concerns. Some businesses have felt they were treated poorly at City hall; others compliment the city on the speed and ease with which they obtained their licenses and permits. We would like everyone to have the latter experience, and establishing the "business liaison" function in the city Manager's office is to assure your voice receives the attention it deserves.
If it involves delivery of a city service to a business entity (building permit; utility service; business license; overdue invoice; etc.), we would like to hear your feedback good and bad alike.
The intended use of the business liaison service is to:
- First and foremost, determine if there is a way to resolve the immediate concern of the business;
- Identify changes we need to make at City Hall to eliminate unnecessary friction (please keep in mind, many actions taken at City Hall relate to state and federal laws which cannot readily be changed by the local authority);
- Reinforce with employees and businesses alike our commitment to a “business friendly” and “service oriented” institution;
